Labuan IBFC was the official Financial Centre Partner of Islamic Fintech Week (IFW2020) and participated in the discussion themed “Islamic Fintech Future".
In this discussion, the speakers shared examples of collaborative efforts for fintech companies in their respective market or region i.e. increasing access to capital, development of talent, customer education and regulation, Islamic Fintech opportunities, etc., as well as touched on how Islamic Fintech can be more ‘mainstream’ and be offered to non-Muslims. The panel also discussed on the policies and standards to be established for inter-market collaboration and the sectors within Islamic Fintech that needed to be prioritised.
