Mr. Raj Pillay is a senior practitioner, trainer, advisor and consultant in the field of Compliance (including AML/CFT), Governance, Ethics & Risk. He was also a general counsel with various financial institutions. He is a U.K. law graduate and as well holds qualifications from the London Institute of Banking & Finance. He is also a Harvard Business School certified practitioner in the field of Risk and Controls that provides a risk framework that links strategy, organisational effectiveness and control.
Mr. Raj Pillay has worked with a top global bank, local and regional banks, other financial institutions and with the Malaysian financial regulators’ advisory arm. His professional background spanning more than 20 years includes overseeing various senior management functions in the areas of Compliance, Governance and Legal.
His training and consultancy services have been provided to a multitude of business segments within the financial services sector including the regulators, with audiences ranging from the ground level to management and boards of directors.
