Dear Friends of Labuan,

As we mark the first anniversary of the COVID-19 pandemic, the team and I have had a chance to look back at the last 12 months and we came away with an overwhelming sense of gratitude towards our colleagues and partners that have kept Labuan IBFC front and centre, even as the world tackled this invisible enemy. Thank you for your support and belief in us which has allowed the jurisdiction to continue to grow.

March also marks International Women’s Day/Month, and for the first time we hosted an event to commemorate. So for those who missed the webinar, please watch the panel discussion and the impromptu live chat I had with our team members here.

Looking ahead, we will be unveiling 2020’s market report by Labuan Financial Services Authority over the next month, so do expect an invite to the virtual launch event soon. Please also do take the time to read our jurisdictional highlights, which include news on South East Asia’s first insured Bitcoin fund as well as Asia’s first licensed digital asset payment service platform – both domiciled in Labuan IBFC! It is indeed heartening to note the advancements made by our digital licensees.
